Latest travel updates on Coronavirus (COVID19) here
From the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kilimanjaro—the largest free-standing mountain on Earth—to the Serengeti Plains and Ngorongoro Crater, which are home to more than 1,500 species of animals, this country is a testament to the power of nature. Whether you’re looking to challenge your limits with an epic hike, or spot the Big Five on safari, Tanzania is a worthwhile place to visit. You can even unwind on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar, an exotic archipelago in the Indian ocean.
Long story short, homosexuality is illegal in Tanzania. While locals in the tourism industry are more accepting, complete discretion is advised (even heterosexual public displays of affection are frowned upon on the Muslim coast and in Zanzibar). That said, your crew, staff, and accommodations with Out Adventures are all very welcoming.

Due to Tanzania’s deeply ingrained homophobia, we recommend LGBT travellers practice complete discretion. It should be noted even heterosexual PDAs are frowned upon in parts of Tanzania. However, if you’re joining our Kilimanjaro climb, please rest assured your crew, staff, and accommodations all welcome you.

Tanzania’s remote western parks aren’t nearly as famous as the Serengeti. However, they are home to the elusive chimpanzee, mankind’s closest relative.
Off the coast of East Africa sits Zanzibar, an Indian Ocean archipelago known for its beaches and mysterious Stone Town.
Home of the Great Wildebeest Migration, the Serengeti is one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.
At 5,895m/19,341ft Mount Kilimanjaro is Earth’s tallest free-standing mountain and listed among the world’s tallest volcanoes. And while it’s no walk in the park, the sense of accomplishment one enjoys while watching the sun rise from the rooftop of Africa can’t be properly described in words.
