With Rob MIA, it’s up to Peter to curate this week’s episode dedicated to the intersection of Art and Gay Travel. He is joined in the studio by life partners Daniel Faria (Director and Owner, Daniel Faria Gallery) and Rui Amaral (Director and Curator, Scrap Metal Gallery).

Podcast Notes
Today’s episode was chock-full of great information for both the artistic cognoscenti and casual consumer. To keep things organized, we’ve included links to the museums and artistic events mentioned in the episode by destination.
Best Art Destinations in 2019
Miami, USA
Teeming with museums, private collectors and a vibrant graffiti culture, Miami is one of North America’s prime art destinations. Be sure to swing by the Wynwood Art District. And if possible, plan your tour around Miami Basel, one of the world’s premiere artistic biennials.
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Sao Paulo is a concrete jungle housing one of the world’s best under-the-radar art scenes. The museums are exceptional while the graffiti is politically charged.
Berlin, Germany
While it’s no hidden gem, the lasting impact this international destination has had on the world’s leading artists is undeniable. Book a Berlin Art Tour for a digestible introduction to the city’s booming exhibitions. If you’re brave enough to tackle the city’s exhausting scene on your own, start your adventure in Museum Island.
Marfa City, USA
American minimalist Donald Judd purchased acres of land in relatively unknown Marfa, Texas to house his work. His interest in the otherwise unimportant city has transformed it into a top-tier destination for in-the-know patrons.
Lisbon, Portugal
What was once an up-and-coming art destination is now a buzzing tourist mecca. Poke your head into the plentiful pop-up galleries, appreciate the scintillating street art and spend a few hours perusing the city’s renowned museums such as the Museum of Art & Technology.
Other Rising Art Destinations…
Cleveland, USA – Do not miss Cleveland’s surprisingly impressive Museum of Art.
Pittsburgh, USA – Carnagie Museum of Art is an extraordinary gallery worth your time.
